Saving energy @ home

It’s obvious our economy is headed in a tail spin downward. I’m am trying to look at our spending and decide as things get worse the order we will eliminate extra spending. One thing we are doing right now is buying timers for our standby power appliances. I have also bought extension cords with a power down switch for things we might use during the day but now very often. Below is a list of power standby consumers than I am going through our house and trying to eliminate or put on timers. Basically if an appliance has a clock or a large square box at the plug in point it draws ghost power.
